RHS Discovery Staff Maggie Hi! My name is Maggie. This is my first school year at Discovery Club. I have been here for 4 summers. I will be working with all age groups and teaching spanish. Hi, I’m Mary Jo Sterling I taught for sixteen years in Iowa and Wisconsin. Then moved to Tulsa Oklahoma, working as a campus minister at the University Mary Jo of Oklahoma. I moved to Minnesota nineteen years ago and love it. This is my third year here at a really great school and with being with some really great children and adults. I enjoy learning and playing with the children. This is the best job after retiring from teaching. I look forward to the best year yet and getting to know everyone. My name Adrian is Adrian. This is my 3rd year at Discovery Club. I am the Group 5 leader and love every second of it. I am married and live in the best neighberhood in St.Paul, The Midway. I am hoping to be a Special Education teacher with a focus on Autism. For now I love working at Discovery Club. Hello, I’m Sarah Harrington. I graduated from the University of Minnesota Sarah with a psychology Degree in 2001. The past 6 years I have been working for Discovery Club at Randolph Heights and Horace Mann Elementary. This year I will be working with the first and Second graders. I love traveling and this year I plan on doing some geography activities. I’m looking forward to another great year. Hi Everyone - I’m Karen Sorenson. I have been working at Randolph Karen Heights Discovery Club for the past 6 years and I’m still having a great time here. You only see me in the afternoons, because I work at Chelsea Heights Elementary during the school day. I have done the behavior program at Chelsea Heights for the past 17 years. I enjoy working with children helping them achieve goals and work hard to always do their best. In my spare time I play and laugh with Kate my two grand daughters. Hello- My name is Kate. This is my 3rd year at Discovery Club, my 1st at Randolph Heights. I work the aftermoons at Horace Mann. I am very excited for this year. Hi- My name is Chrissy. I am the site manager here at Randolph Heights. This is my 16th year with Discovery Club and the start of my 8th year here at Randolph Heights. I spent Chrissy 6 1/2 years as a group leader at St Anthony Park, 2 1/2 years as the site manager at Horace Mann. I have 2 daughters Maddie(3rd grade) and MacKenzie (Kindergarten), who both attend school at Randolph Heights. My husband Jack, whom I met when I was working at St. Anthony Park Discovery Club, is a Special Ed teacher at Robbinsdale Armstrong High School. As a side note, my 1st year with Discovery Susan Club I had Maddie in my group, she was in 1st grade, and no matter what Adrian tells you I was not born during the Revolutionary War. Hi- My name is Susan. This is the start of my 18th year with the school district. I still enjoy my job too! I have been with Discovery Club for 15+ years. I have 2 teenage daughters that also keep me quite busy.
