PTA Meetings for 2008-2009
All meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be held in the ECFE room or library, unless otherwise noted.
December 8 – Internet Safety Training (special program)
This meeting will provide parents with great information on monitoring their children’s computer usage. The 4th, 5th and 6th graders will also receive internet safety training in an assembly on December 9th. The same speaker will address both groups. See below for speaker bio.
Alison Feigh, Child Safety Specialist
Alison Feigh has worked with the Minnesota-based Jacob Wetterling Foundation (JWF) since 2001 delivering youth-centered safety messages to the public, assisting families with missing and exploited children issues, and providing key information to media and law enforcement. She is the author of two nationally released books on child safety and is a frequent speaker at parent’s groups, schools, and community safety events. She holds a B.A. degree in Communication and a self designed major, “Responding to Missing Children in the U.S.” from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.

The "Core Knowledge" movement is an educational reform based on the premise that a grade-by-grade core of common learning is necessary to ensure a sound and fair elementary education. Attend this event and learn how Randolph Height’s use of the “Core Knowledge” program provides your children with a great education. June 3 – PTA Elections at the School Picnic, we will be electing a Secretary and Vice President.
