| | | Media Center | | Welcome to the Randolph Heights Media Center. Students have daily access to the library with whole classes coming on a weekly basis. During the school year each class will learn library skills, explore fiction as well as non-fiction, listen to stories, discover new books and create a favorite author list, check out books, and take reading quizzes in the Accelerated Reading program. Students in grades 3-6 may choose to participate in the Maud Hart Lovelace program by reading 6 of the 10 nominated books for the current year and vote for a winner in the spring. We circulate over 40,000 books each year!
Book Club is a reading program for our beginning readers in grades 1-3. Our community and parent volunteers are trained to read with and encourage students in reading development. Book Club meets three mornings each week with a reading assignment to complete at home with family members. Student reading progress is recorded. Kindergarteners are usually ready to begin Book Club in March.
