This means that when a student qualifies for special education, occupational therapy may be appropriate to support the student in the areas of sensory and motor abilities. Examples of areas addressed in Occupational therapy in the school system are improving work completion, visual motor skills (handwriting), organization, activities of daily living as well as others.
