Adapted Physical Education
Dave Kessel, Adapted Phy Ed teacher
Students who may need additional help in locomotor skills- examples are running, hopping, jumping, and galloping; and object control skills- examples are swinging a bat at a ball, dribbling, catching and kicking a ball, are given a test to determine their eligibility to receive Adapted Phy Ed services. Adapted Phy Ed does not take the place of regular Physical Education, but it is addition to help the students improve their abilities. Stduents in Adapted Phy Ed must be in Special Education and have an IEP.
