Welcome to the Randolph Heights Media Center.  Students have daily access to the library with whole classes in grades 1-6 coming on a weekly basis.  Kindergarten classes come on a daily basis to check out books, and Pre-Kindies come twice each week for a story and checkout.  During the school
year each class will learn library skills to explore fiction as well as non-fiction, discover new books and create a favorite author list, check out books, and take reading quizzes in the Accelerated Reading program.  We circulate over 40,000 books each year!

Students in grades 3-6 may choose
to participate in the Maud Hart Lovelace program by reading 7 of the 10 nominated books for the current year and vote for a winner in the spring.

Book Club is a reading program for our beginning readers in grades K-3.  Our community and parent volunteers are trained to listen to
children read and encourage students in reading development.  Book Club meets three mornings each week with a reading assignment to complete at home with family members.  Student progress in the reading sequence is recorded.  Kindergartners are ready to begin Book Club in January.
