Welcome to Health Education at Randolph Heights!  We are one of the few Elementary schools in the district to offer Health Education as a class for students in grades 2nd through 6th!  Click on the link to the right to view a sample lesson plan.  You can also see the standards that are used in the Health curriculum by clicking on the "AAHE Standards" link to the right.

Parents!  Click on the 'Resources' link to the right for useful health information.

The 2nd and 3rd grade curriculum focuses on nutrition, self-esteem, the seven types of health (social, physical, emotional, career, intellectual, environmental, and spiritual),  home safety, computer and technology safety, disease prevention and media literacy.

The 4th, 5th, and 6th grade curriculum places emphasis on ethics through debate, self-esteem, and media literacy.  Students will produce and compile an individual nutritional analysis, physical activity analysis, Body Mass Index score, and fitness test as a final assessment at the end of the year.  Click on the link to the right entitled "resources" for more information regarding these assessments.

Click on the link entitled "Alliance For A Healthier Generation" to access information regarding an exiting partnership we have begun with the American Heart Association, Robert Woods Johnson Foundation, and William Jefferson Clinton Foundation!  On that note, Randolph Heights Elementary is proud to celebrate receiving the prestigious Bronze Award from the Alliance For A Healthier Generation.  This award recognizes excellence regarding developing programming that promotes student and employee wellness and we are the first school in the entire metro area to win this award!
