The purpose of competitions at Randolph Heights is to provide an opportunity for academically strong students to  interact with other students of a similar caliber and interest, in a real-world setting. The "winning" of the contest is secondary to the experience itself. Gifted and talented students need the challenge offered by competitions and thrive while engaged in the process. The competitions could include Destination Imagination,  WordMasters, Continental Math, Math Masters, or Young Inventors, to name a few. The competitions are under the direction of not only the Gifted Services specialist Specialist but may be with parent or community volunteers. Our students have been Regional winners in the Continental Math contest, Math Masters, and  many  presenters at the Young Inventor's Fair.
