Randolph Heights Elementary is one of the Saint Paul schools that joined the Alliance For A Healthier Generation's Healthy Schools Program. To learn more about the Alliance, please click on the link below.
In 2007, Randolph Heights formed their first Wellness Committee. Accomplishments include
receiving the Bronze Award for the Healthy Schools Program (we are the first school in the metro area to receive this award), completing a healthy school inventory, initiating a more in-depth 4th, 5th, and 6th grade Health and Physical Education report card including every students Body Mass Index, Fitness test results, and Nutritional Analysis. We also started the 'RHS Healthy Kids' poster campaign which highlights 3 students every month.
This year, we plan to raise the bar even higher! We will be initiating an Employee Wellness program, broadening
the 'RHS Healthy Kids' program to also include staff, and we now have a 'Healthy Suggestion Box' for anyone to drop ideas into (located in the gymnasium) to make our school healthier. This work cannot be done without your help. If you have an idea that might help make our school even healthier,
or if you are interested in joining the Randolph Heights Wellness Committee,
please click here to drop us a line or use the Healthy Suggestion box!
